La Caprese

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (about 11 oz or 300 gr)
  • 2 salad tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & black pepper


  • Slice the mozzarella and the tomatoes and arrange alternately on a flat dish
  • Sprinkle with freshly sliced basil and oregano
  • Season with a pinch of salt and pepper
  • Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and serve cold
