The real typical taste of deep fried wings with Chinese marinade. Simply delicious!
Ingredients (for 2)
- 6 chicken wings
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp wheat flour
- 1 cup oil for frying
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 garlic clove
- salt & black pepper
Directions
- Take a large bowl for marinating the wings and add: soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, salt and black pepper
- Peel and grate fresh ginger and squeeze the pulp into the bowl; stir to combine
- Add chicken wings, coat well with the mixture and let marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (ideally overnight)
- When ready to cook, in a bowl mix together the all purpose flour with the corn starch
- Remove wings from the bowl and coat well in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess
- Heat oil in your frying pan or wok and when the oil is hot, fry chicken wings until golden brown
- Remove wings with a slotted spoon, drain excess oil by placing on a plate with paper towels and serve immediately!
