Marinated Fried Chicken Wings

The real typical taste of deep fried wings with Chinese marinade. Simply delicious!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 6 chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1 cup oil for frying
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt & black pepper

Directions

  • Take a large bowl for marinating the wings and add: soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, salt and black pepper
  • Peel and grate fresh ginger and squeeze the pulp into the bowl; stir to combine
  • Add chicken wings, coat well with the mixture and let marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (ideally overnight)
  • When ready to cook, in a bowl mix together the all purpose flour with the corn starch
  • Remove wings from the bowl and coat well in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess
  • Heat oil in your frying pan or wok and when the oil is hot, fry chicken wings until golden brown
  • Remove wings with a slotted spoon, drain excess oil by placing on a plate with paper towels and serve immediately!
