Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 pork chops (about 400 gr or 14 oz)
- 2 cups porcini mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- a touch of marjoram and oregano
- salt & black pepper
Directions
- Season the pork meat with salt and black pepper
- Take a large oven-proof skillet or Dutch oven and heat olive oil over medium heat
- Add the meat and brown well on all sides
- Wash mushrooms and remove any black dots from the stems
- Preheat oven to 380 °F (190 °C)
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then add the chopped mushrooms and crushed garlic
- Cover with a lid and sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Pour the butter and mushroom sauce over the pork meat and sprinkle with a touch of marjoram and oregano
- Transfer the pork to the oven and broil for 30 minutes, regularly basting the meat with the sauce
