Wakame and Cucumber Salad

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 cup wakame
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • salt


  • Soak the dried wakame seaweed in a bowl with water for 10 minutes
  • Drain and squeeze out the water
  • In the meantime, wash and slice the cucumbers as thinly as possible into a bowl
  • Add salt, drain any excess water on the bottom of the bowl and set aside
  • In a separate bowl mix together: soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and rice vinegar
  • Place the sliced cucumber and wakame on your serving platter, pour over the dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds
