Probably the most famous Greek dip, perfect for your souvlakis and gyros recipes… Use Greek yogurt for best results!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1/2 cup white yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • salt


  • Peel, deseed and finely grate the cucumbers
  • In a small bowl, add yogurt, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, olive oil, crushed garlic and a pinch of salt
  • Mix well until blended, cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes

Best Served With

Any meat based Greek dish or on its own as a dip for your favorite vegetables / chips
