Sunomono (Cucumber Salad)

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • salt


  • Wash and slice the cucumbers as thin as possible
  • Add to a bowl, season with salt and let rest a few minutes
  • In another bowl mix well soy sauce, sugar and rice vinegar
  • Drain any excess water from the cucumbers, add the dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds
