Super quick, nutritious and healthy… no fat used in the cooking, just the taste of fresh spinach and sesame seeds…
Ingredients (for 2)
- 4 cups fresh spinach
- 4 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp white sugar
Directions
- Wash the spinach thoroughly, drain and pat dry
- Take a large skillet or nonstick pan and cook the spinach with some water at medium heat for 4-5 minutes until soft (you can also boil them in water for 2 minutes)
- In a nonstick pan toast sesame seeds at high heat for about 2-3 minutes, stirring from time to time
- Grind half of the sesame seeds and mix them together with soy sauce and sugar
- Put the spinach in your serving plate, pour over the sesame sauce and sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds on top
Tips from the Chef
- You can grind sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle or with an electric spice grinder
- If available, you can buy them already ground at your grocery store.
