Smoked Salmon Salad with Avocado

The classic combination of salmon and avocado for an easy but mouthwatering salad which can be used as appetizer or starter in a fish meal. You can use raw fresh salmon as well…

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 8 slices smoked salmon (about 7-8 oz.)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper


  • Wash, peel and thinly slice the lemon zest
  • Squeeze the juice in a bowl and add the zest, grated ginger, olive oil and salt; stir well to blend
  • Arrange slices of salmon on a serving plate
  • Drizzle with some of the lemon dressing
  • Peel, pit and slice avocados
  • Top salmon with 2-3 slices of avocado
  • Drizzle with remaining dressing and season with pepper and dill

Toasted bread or focaccia and a glass of sparkling white wine
