Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 large pork chop (about 180 gr. or 6 oz.)
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/3 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 tbsp peanut oil
- a pinch of salt
Directions
- Take a medium-sized bowl and blend together sugar, salt, minced garlic, fish sauce, and coconut milk
- Cut the pork chop in strips of the same size and dip them in the mixture, coating them thoroughly
- Cover the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight in the fridge
- Soak the skewers in cold water in the meantime
- Thread the pork strips onto the skewers
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and cook the skewers for about 3 to 5 minutes per side, until browned

- In the original Thai recipe, bamboo skewers are used
- When using wood skewers, always soak them in water for at least 15-20 minutes before use to prevent them catching fire
