Shrimp with Tomatoes and Olives

Shrimp virtually takes no time to prepare and is one of those food that can be dressed up very easily. In this recipe it is simply prepared with olives and tomatoes and can be served with rice, pasta or staple of your choice. This is the perfect meal to prepare if you have little time but need something warm and filling!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 and 1/2 cup shrimp / prawns
  • 1/2 can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup green olives
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & black pepper


  • Put oil into a large skillet and heat thoroughly
  • Add onion and wine to skillet and saute for 4 minutes; stir frequently to avoid sticking
  • Add tomato paste, olives, pepper, tomatoes and salt, stir to combine and cook for 6 minutes or until sauce starts to get thick
  • Put in shrimp and cover pan; allow shrimp to cook for 5 minutes and remove from flame
  • Serve with desired staple and enjoy!
