An easy oven-based recipe from the Provence region, really brings out the taste of your red tomatoes…
Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 red tomatoes
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp fresh basil
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt & black pepper
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 °F (190° C)
- Cut the red tomatoes in half and season with salt and black pepper
- Sprinkle some olive oil over each tomato half
- Add minced garlic, freshly chopped basil and breadcrumbs over each half
- Place the halved tomatoes on a baking sheet
- Sprinkle the remaining oil over the breadcrumbs and bake for 20 to 25 minutes

- Dose the amount of breadcrumbs according to the size of your tomatoes
- We suggest to use small, ripe, succulent red tomatoes
