Super easy and quick Thai recipe, ready with just a few ingredients. Chili peppers are cooked and therefore give a milder taste. If you like, you can spice it up further just before serving.
Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 ½ cup prawns (about 10 oz or 270 gr)
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/2 chili pepper
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/4 onion
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro
- 1 tbsp basil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Directions
- Peel and devein the prawns and set them aside
- Chop the onions, garlic cloves and chili peppers
- Put them in a wok or large skillet with olive oil and stir fry until golden brown
- Add the prawns and stir fry for a couple of minutes at high heat
- Stir in the coconut milk, fish sauce and soy sauce, and simmer for another 5 minutes
- Once ready, add a touch of sesame oil and sprinkle with fresh basil and coriander leaves
