The original recipe for French Poulet Frites! Served in almost every restaurant and bistrot in the country, sided by French fries of course!
Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 chicken thigh
- 1 chicken wing
- 1/2 chicken breast
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt & black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C)
- Peel and cut into halves the garlic cloves and rub the chicken pieces all over
- Place the pieces, skin side up, on a baking sheet or pan
- Brush them with olive oil and then season with salt and black pepper
- Bake for about 20 minutes
- Turn over the chicken and spread ½ of the butter with a knife over the top; cook for 20 minutes more
- Repeat with remaining butter, regularly basting the chicken, and cook for 20 minutes more or until crispy outside and tender and juicy inside
