Pork Souvlaki

A Greek classic! Make your own version with your favorite vegetables. Peppers are a perfect complement to pork meat. For exceptional flavor try marinating the meat overnight….

Ingredients (for 2)

  • pork tenderloin (about 11 oz or 300 gr)
  • 1/3 bell pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt & black pepper

Directions

  • Cut the pork tenderloin into cubes and set it aside
  • Finely chop the onions and combine them in a large bowl with olive oil, lemon juice, crushed garlic and oregano
  • Add the meat, mix well, cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for about 2 hours
  • Soak the skewers in water in the meantime (this will prevent them from burning over the grill) and cut the peppers in slices
  • Thread the pork cubes onto the skewers, alternating with the peppers, and season with a pinch of salt & black pepper
  • Grill over a barbeque to get that smoky flavor or use a grill pan alternatively
  • If you like, serve them with tzatziki – check out our Ingredients section to get the recipe!
