Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 chicken breast (about 13 oz or 360 gr)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 5 tbsp wheat flour
- 1/3 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 tbsp corn starch
- 1/4 tbsp white sugar
- 2 cups oil for frying
- salt
Directions
- Prepare the batter by mixing the wheat flour with the eggs and some water (add it gradually) until smooth
- Cut the chicken breast into pieces and coat them with the batter
- Heat the oil in a frying pan, a wok would be perfect, and deep fry the chicken until golden brown (approximately 5-6 minutes)
- Put aside the chicken on kitchen paper to absorb any excess oil and keep it warm
- Combine the chicken stock with corn flour, sugar and a pinch of salt, and cook in a large saucepan until thick
- Add the chicken and the lemon juice, and give a final stir
