Lamb Seekh Kebab

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 cups ground lamb
  • 1/2 egg
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • salt to taste

Directions

  • Soak the skewers in cold water for 15-20 minutes
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl so you can portion it easily
  • In a different bowl, mix together the lamb mince with garam masala, coriander seeds (ground), coriander leaves (chopped), chili powder, onions (finely sliced), garlic (crushed) and beaten egg
  • Work the mixture with the fork until it is well blended and smooth
  • Form the kebab shapes around the skewers, press the meat well or it won’t stick, and place them on a grill pan (or even better a coal fire) over high heat
  • Cook the kebabs for 5-6 minutes until well browned on all sides
