Honey Cheese Pie

Cheese and honey are a great combination, indeed used in both desserts and appetizers. Try this Greek recipe for a delicious and healthy pie!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 6 tbsp wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C)
  • Take a large bowl and beat the eggs
  • Add ricotta cheese, honey, cinnamon in powder, white flour, and lemon juice; beat for a few minuets until smooth
  • Take a small round shaped baking pan and rub the butter on all sides to avoid sticking
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly
  • Bake it for 1 hour or until the surface starts to brown and crack
  • Remove from oven and let cool at room temperature for at least 10 minutes
  • With a flour sifter, sprinkle powdered sugar over your pie and cut into wedges to serve!
