Grilling on coal or open fire gives corn a distinctive and unique flavor, but you can use also a gas or electric grill. Soaking corn in a simple salt and sugar mixture makes this dish burst with taste.
Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 corn ears
- 4 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white sugar
- butter for brushing
- salt & pepper as desired
Directions
- Mix water, salt and sugar in a large pot or container
- Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved
- Put corn with husks into the mixture and soak for at least half an hour (the more the better)
- Heat your grill and grease
- Put corns on grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked thoroughly
- Remove corns from grill and brush with butter
- Add more salt and pepper if you like and enjoy!
