Grilled Corn on the Cob

Grilling on coal or open fire gives corn a distinctive and unique flavor, but you can use also a gas or electric grill. Soaking corn in a simple salt and sugar mixture makes this dish burst with taste.

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 corn ears
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • butter for brushing
  • salt & pepper as desired

  • Mix water, salt and sugar in a large pot or container
  • Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved
  • Put corn with husks into the mixture and soak for at least half an hour (the more the better)
  • Heat your grill and grease
  • Put corns on grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked thoroughly
  • Remove corns from grill and brush with butter
  • Add more salt and pepper if you like and enjoy!
