Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 cups green beans
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp white sugar
Directions
- Wash the green beans and cut off the edges
- Cook them in boiling hot water for 7-8 minutes, until soft but still crisp
- Toast the sesame seeds in a nonstick pan at high heat for about 2-3 minutes, stirring from time to time
- Grind half of sesame seeds and mix them together with soy sauce and sugar
- Put the green beans in your serving plate, pour over the sesame sauce and sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds on top
Tips from the Chef
- You can grind sesame seeds with a mortar and pestle or with an electric spice grinder
- If available, you can also find sesame already ground at your grocery store
