Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp fresh basil
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- a pinch of salt and black pepper
Directions
- Bring all ingredients at room temperature before starting and the sauce will come together better
- In a food processor, purée the garlic and salt to a smooth paste
- Fit the processor with a blade attachment and add the egg yolk; whisk until evenly mixed
- Start to pour in olive oil in a thin stream (or small drops), whisking constantly, until completely blended
- At the end of the process, blend in lemon juice and add a pinch of black pepper
