Ingredients (for 2)
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- salt
Directions
- Whisk milk, vanilla, egg, salt and preferred spices together (in our version cinnamon and nutmeg)
- Heat a skillet and oil lightly
- Dip the sliced sandwich bread into mixture, one slice at a time, and make sure it is soaked through on both sides
- Place on griddle and cook till both sides are golden
- Serve right away and top with butter or syrup!
