Flatfish in Lemon Sauce

The delicate taste of flatfish or sole, coupled with a creamy sauce made with lemons… a perfect match!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 fillets flatfish
  • 4 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt & black pepper


  • Season the flatfish with salt and black pepper
  • Put the flour on a flat plate and coat the fish fillets with the flour
  • In a large skillet melt the butter over medium heat
  • Add the fish and cook for 2 minutes per side; then remove to a serving plate (covered)
  • Peel the lemons and thinly chop the zest
  • Add sour cream and lemon zest to the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes
  • Squeeze the lemon juice in the pan, add thinly sliced parsley and stir to combine
  • When ready, pour the sauce over the fish and enjoy!
