Ingredients (for 2)
- 3 artichokes
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp wheat flour
- 1/2 cup water
- abundant oil for frying
- salt
Directions
- Remove the external hard leaves from the artichokes, cut the edge and peel the stem
- Wash and cut the artichokes into quarters, and set aside
- Take a bowl and beat the eggs
- Add cold water and then wheat flour little by little, whisking constantly in order to avoid it to curdle
- Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan
- Coat the artichokes with the batter and fry until golden on all sides
- Then remove with a slotted spoon and place on kitchen paper to absorb any excess oil
- Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately!
