Crostini are very easy to prepare and with this special Tuscan recipe can be a mouth watering experience. Due to the seasoning of Italian sausages, no salt or pepper is required.
Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 fresh sausages (about 6 oz or 180 gr)
- 1/4 cup stracchino cheese
- 6 slices baguette (or traditional bread)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Put an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 150 °C (300° F)
- Slice your bread not too thin and arrange it in a single layer on a baking sheet
- Remove the skin from the sausages and smash them with a fork
- Add the Stracchino cheese (or any soft fresh cheese you have) to the sausages and mix to combine
- Spread the sausage mixture on each slice of bread, drizzle with some olive oil and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes, or until bread is light golden
