Creamy Cajun Deviled Eggs

Cajun-style coupled with an originally Italian appetizer, you can add your own flair to make it a bit different from the original. This dish is usually served cold and is a great party entree…

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp red Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun mix
  • salt & black pepper

Directions

  • Pour cold water into a deep saucepan, enough to cover eggs; place eggs into water and put over a medium flame
  • Bring water to a boil then lower flame and cover pan; cook for 15 minutes then remove from flame
  • Run eggs under cold water and then remove shells
  • Slice delicately the eggs in half and use a spoon to remove yolks
  • Place yolks into a bowl along with mayo (or salad dressing), hot sauce (Tabasco is our favorite), black pepper, cream cheese and salt; mix to combine
  • Use mixture to fill eggs and add a dash of cajun mix
  • Refrigerate and serve!
