- 4 tbsp butter
Directions
- Slowly melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat
- When the butter has completely melted, remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes
- Skim off the white foam from the top using a spoon
- Slowly pour into a container through a mesh strainer, discarding the milky solid that forms on the bottom of the saucepan
Tips from the Chef
- For best results, line the mesh strainer with cheesecloth
- You will loose about ¼ of the original amount of butter
- Clarified butter can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 month
