Ingredients (for 2)

  • 4 tbsp butter

Directions

  • Slowly melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat
  • When the butter has completely melted, remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes
  • Skim off the white foam from the top using a spoon
  • Slowly pour into a container through a mesh strainer, discarding the milky solid that forms on the bottom of the saucepan

Tips from the Chef

  • For best results, line the mesh strainer with cheesecloth
  • You will loose about ¼ of the original amount of butter
  • Clarified butter can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 month
