Chocolate and Banana Pancakes

Pancakes with a banana twist and a rich chocolate syrup on top… very easy dessert and ready in no time!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 banana
  • 4 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • a pinch of salt

Directions

  • Take a small sauce pan and melt butter over low heat
  • In different bowl mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar
  • Make a well in the middle of the flour mixture and add beaten eggs
  • Mash overripe bananas and add them to the bowl
  • Pour melted butter and milk and stir well to combine
  • Heat a small nonstick pan over medium heat
  • When hot, pour part of the pancake mixture into the pan and spread evenly
  • When the upper side of the pancake is bubbling, turn over and cook 1 minute more
  • Serve hot, pouring chocolate syrup on top!

Tips from the Chef

  • If you are in a rush, just put all ingredients for the pancake mixture into a blender and pulse until smooth
  • Pour enough mixture into the pan to have a nice thickness
  • You can dust some powdered sugar on top if you like
