Chinese Sweet and Sour Sauce

The perfect dipping sauce for your favorite spring rolls and dumplings. Try it also on egg rolls and meat of course!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1/2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/4 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/4 cup water


  • Combine in a small saucepan water, corn starch, vinegar and white sugar
  • Stir to get a smooth texture while heating gently
  • Add the ketchup, stir and let it cool
  • If you want you can spice it up with chili peppers or chili powder
