Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 beef rib-eye steaks
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 white sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Place the beef steaks in a large bowl
- Pour all remaining ingredients for the marinade over the meat and toss to coat well
- Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and marinate for at least 2 hours (ideally overnight)
- When ready to be served, heat a wok or heavy non stick pan and (when very hot) add the steak
- Cook over high heat for 2 minutes, or until browned
- Turn it over and cook for 2 minutes more
- Turn again, lower heat to medium and cook until you achieve the desired doneness
