Buffalo sauce is made with vinegar, butter and cayenne pepper. The sauce can be made hotter or milder based on your taste. Works perfectly with shrimp!
Ingredients (for 2)
- 1 cup shrimp
- 2/3 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup oil for frying
- 1 tsp red Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1/4 onion
- 3 tsp Cajun mix
- 1 garlic clove
- salt & black pepper
Directions
- Combine bread crumbs, garlic & onion (thinly sliced), Cajun mix and black pepper in a plastic bag; shake and put aside until needed
- Rinse shrimp and put into bread crumbs mixture; shake to coat shrimp thoroughly
- Remove shrimp from bag and place onto a baking sheet and put in refrigerator for 20 minutes
- In a small bowl, mix together butter (melted), Cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce; whisk and put aside till needed
- Heat oil in a frying pan, remove shrimp from fridge and shake in leftover breadcrumbs; put into oil and cook for 3-4 minutes
- Take shrimp from oil and put into buffalo sauce, toss to coat
- Serve with desired side and enjoy!
