Buffalo Shrimp

Buffalo sauce is made with vinegar, butter and cayenne pepper. The sauce can be made hotter or milder based on your taste. Works perfectly with shrimp!

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 cup shrimp
  • 2/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup oil for frying
  • 1 tsp red Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 onion
  • 3 tsp Cajun mix
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt & black pepper

Directions

  • Combine bread crumbs, garlic & onion (thinly sliced), Cajun mix and black pepper in a plastic bag; shake and put aside until needed
  • Rinse shrimp and put into bread crumbs mixture; shake to coat shrimp thoroughly
  • Remove shrimp from bag and place onto a baking sheet and put in refrigerator for 20 minutes
  • In a small bowl, mix together butter (melted), Cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce; whisk and put aside till needed
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, remove shrimp from fridge and shake in leftover breadcrumbs; put into oil and cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Take shrimp from oil and put into buffalo sauce, toss to coat
  • Serve with desired side and enjoy!

This dish can be served with fries or mashed potatoes
