Boiled or steamed broccoli are simply delicious with this sesame and soy sauce, ready in just a few minutes! This easy recipe is suited for cauliflowers as well…
Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 cups broccoli
- 4 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp white sugar
Directions
- Rinse the broccoli under cold water and cut into florets
- Take a deep saucepan and cook the broccoli in boiling water for 7-8 minutes (I like them crunchy…)
- In the meantime, take a nonstick pan and toast the sesame seeds at medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, stirring from time to time
- Grind half of the sesame seeds and put them in a bowl with soy sauce and sugar; mix well to combine
- When ready, drain the broccoli florets and arrange them on your serving plate, pour the sauce on top and sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds
Best Served With
Garlic croutons
Tips from the Chef
You can add salt to the boiling water if you like a stronger flavor, but keep in mind that soy sauce is already quite salty
