Bananas Foster

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 1 ½ bananas
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter


  • Take ice cream from freezer and put aside to thaw while preparing bananas
  • Heat skillet and put in butter, rum, cinnamon and sugar and cook for 4-6 minutes until bubbly and sugar has dissolved
  • Slice and add bananas to mixture and cook for 2 minutes; swirl skillet to combine
  • Scoop ice cream into cup or bowl and top with banana along with sauce; serve right away!

Tips from the Chef

  • If you have banana liqueur you may add it to the mixture
  • The finished dessert may also be topped with a variety of nuts
