Baked fish (“Psari Plaki” in Greek) is very common and the perfect recipe for haddock as well as cod or bluefish… very simple to prepare!
Ingredients (for 2)
- 2 fillets fresh haddock (about 400 gr. or 14 oz.)
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp fresh basil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C)
- Drizzle with olive oil a baking pan and place the fish on it
- Sprinkle with salt, lemon juice, fresh basil and black pepper
- Cut the onion in thin slices and lay it on the top of the fish fillet
- Open the can of tomatoes and pour over the fish
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until fish is done, basting from time to time with the juices
